My Branding Story Started 10 Years Ago

I’ve always gravitated towards stories and people. Profile and feature stories were so fascinating to me that I had my heart set on being a journalist.

When taking a microscope to that part of my life, I realized how I had developed the technical and creative skills to stand out in the professional branding and marketing world.

Most of my courses were project-based; I used software applications and effective marketing tools regularly within the Journalism Department that proved to be extremely beneficial as I progressed in my marketing career.

Through Chelsea Creative Consulting, I provide an all-encompassing solution for my clients. I do this through offering a variety of branding and marketing services such as market research, website development, logo creation, and social media strategy to name a few.

Business Marketing and Growth

I started my professional marketing career at a small company where I was tasked with developing a new marketing structure. I loved the small, family atmosphere and working style of completing a multitude of branding
projects at once.

I worked closely with the web developers, SEO agencies, video production companies. Needless to say, I had my hands on everything… and I loved it!

The Corporate Ladder

There are so many thrills in juggling a multitude of creative projects with a type-A personality such as myself, so it was safe to say that I caught the branding and marketing bug.

My experience led me to bring impact to another fast-growing company, which ultimately led me to become a department head with the highest earnings in my division.

While I had always been creative, it wasn’t until I was as close as I was to running my own business that I realized just how necessary it is to put a focus on my own business strategy.

In the past I had thought the only way to success was to keep on climbing the corporate ladder. Now I see the business world as a giant playground. Sure, there are still ladders you can climb, but there are so many other ways to get to where you want to be.

My Secret to Branding

Generally, it’s so easy to see how far you have to go without realizing how far you have already come. Maybe I’m bias, but I see that special something in people taking their ideas and turning it into a revenue-driving business. Branding your business may have its challenges, but it doesn’t need to be scary or unreasonably priced. Far too often I see ideas get put on a back-burner because of costs or lack of a structured marketing strategy.

In reality, the time and resources spent on keeping your brand “up to date” ends up being too competitive with your skill that brought you into business in the first place. It’s much more exciting when you get to focus on what drives your business instead of spending countless hours “DIYing” your marketing strategy.
